From Armstrong:
We are pleased to announce that as of February 1st, all Design Envelope pumps from 1 hp to 1250 hp will be shipped with the Generation 5 Armstrong controller.
The images above show the Armstrong controller with touchscreen interface as applied to both the 1 to 10 hp models as well as the >10 hp offerings, where the same controller is used across the entire line. We will be including the new controller capabilities at no extra cost, and with no action required. With this announcement, our customers have access to the full range of Generation 5 advancements across the entire pump line from 1 to 1250 horsepower. Here are the highlights:
- Pump Manager – a new Cloud-based performance management service. This new service is being made available for the first year of operations with all Design Envelope pumps at no cost.
- A new touchscreen control interface with a simple, intuitive menu and feature structure, greatly simplifying commissioning and start-up.
- Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and onboard, software-based, performance management capabilities, enabling both local access and management from any smart device and connectivity to the Pump Manager service.
- Parallel Sensorless Pump Control is now available as an on-board capability with all Design Envelope pumps and is enabled as a standard option on Tango and dualArm models.
The Armstrong controller provides a wide range of current and new performance features and functions.
Sensorless control continues as a standard capability on all Design Envelope offerings. Our unique and patented Parallel Sensorless capability is standard on Tango and dualArm offerings and is a selectable option on all other models.
The Energy Performance, Protection, Zone Optimization and Dual-season set-up features are new on-board capabilities that are available as options and can be selected through ACE Online and ADEPT.
In addition to the new wireless connectivity, BACnetTM TCP/IP is now included as a standard protocol on all Design Envelope pumps.
